Every FPT Scale account includes Polymarket + Kalshi market coverage. There is no add-on fee for having both, no tier that unlocks the second one, and no point at which you are asked to choose a single source and give up the other.

Polymarket is the default market source in the FPT dashboard, because prediction-market volume and liquidity are generally deeper there. That is a starting position, not a restriction — you can switch the market source at any time and work across markets from both venues in the same account.

What "Market Coverage" Means Here

FPT is a software-based simulated trader evaluation company. Your FPT account is a simulated account: balances, orders, positions, fills and profits inside it are simulated.

Coverage means FPT builds its simulated market environment from data about selected Polymarket and Kalshi markets. It does not mean FPT gives you an account at either venue, routes your orders to either venue, holds funds on your behalf, or executes anything live. Nothing you do in an FPT account touches a real order book. See Are FPT Accounts Simulated? and How Simulated Market Activity Works.

FPT is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Polymarket or Kalshi. Their trademarks belong to them. See Third-Party Platform Non-Affiliation.

Both Sources, One Account

QuestionAnswer
Do I pay extra for Kalshi coverage?No. Both are included in every FPT Scale account.
Do I have to pick one at purchase?No. Account size is the only choice at purchase.
Which is selected when I open the dashboard?Polymarket, by default.
Can I change it?Yes, from the market-source control in the dashboard.
Can I hold positions in markets from both in the same account?Yes, subject to your position limits.
Does the source I use change my rules?No. Every rule below is source-neutral.

Your Rules Do Not Change by Source

The market source you choose has no effect on your evaluation objectives or your funded terms. The same profit target, maximum loss, end-of-day trailing drawdown, 40% consistency rule and five-profitable-day requirement apply either way — see Complete Evaluation Rules by Account Size.

Position sizing is also source-neutral, but it is market-specific. Your allowed position in any market is the lower of your account max open size or 5% of that market's trailing 24-hour volume. A thin market is a thin market regardless of which venue it came from. The full rule, with worked tables, is in Max Open Size and Market-Volume Limits.

Coverage Is Selected, Not Exhaustive

FPT covers selected Polymarket and Kalshi markets. Not every market that exists at either venue appears in the FPT dashboard, and the covered set changes over time.

A market may be absent or removed because:

  • its trailing volume is too thin for the FPT simulation to size or price sensibly;
  • its data feed is unreliable, delayed or has stopped updating;
  • it has expired and is awaiting resolution, or its resolution is disputed;
  • it is inside its late-entry restriction window;
  • FPT has restricted it temporarily for risk, integrity or operational reasons.

Those situations are explained in Market Availability and Thin Markets, Temporary Market Restrictions and Market Expiration and Late-Entry Restrictions.

Why Polymarket Is the Default

Two reasons, and neither is a judgement about the venues themselves.

  1. Prediction-market volume is generally deeper on Polymarket, and deeper volume means the 5% market-volume cap binds less often. On a $50k evaluation account with a $2,000 max open size, you need a market that has traded $40,000 in the last 24 hours before your full size is available. Deeper markets reach that threshold more often.
  2. A default has to be something. Making the higher-volume source the opening view means a new trader's first screen is the one where sizing is least constrained.

If your strategy fits the other source better, switch it. Nothing about the default is a recommendation.

Choosing Markets Well

A few things worth internalising before launch:

  • Check volume before you plan size. Multiply your max open size by 20 — that is the 24-hour volume at which the market-volume cap stops binding for you. Below it, the market decides your size, not your account.
  • Thin markets are labelled. The dashboard marks a thin market clearly, and shows available size on market cards where it can, so you are not opening an order ticket just to discover a limit.
  • Estimates are estimates. Estimated fill price, estimated slippage and estimated price impact are shown on the order interface and are not guaranteed. See Estimated Slippage and Price Impact.

Before Launch

FPT has not launched yet. Founder purchases are open and give immediate access to a basic prelaunch dashboard, but trading and unfinished features are clearly marked Coming soon until the evaluation becomes tradeable at launch. The market-source control and the market list are part of what becomes live then. See Dashboard and Order Interface Overview and When Your Evaluation Becomes Tradeable.

Still Need Help?

If a market you expected to see is missing from the dashboard, email support@fundedpredictiontrader.com with the market name and where you found it, and the support team can tell you whether it is outside the covered set, restricted, or in resolution.
