Canceling, Refunds and Payment Problems

Updated

At a Glance

  • Cancelling stops future renewals; a refund returns money already taken.
  • Nothing is charged before public checkout opens, so there is nothing to refund until then.
  • Otherwise purchases are final, except where the law says otherwise.

How to Cancel

Open billing settings in your dashboard, select the subscription and confirm, or email support from the account address. Cancellation is effective when FPT records it.

Cancel before your next renewal date: a renewal already taken is a completed charge, and cancelling afterwards stops the following one. Cancelling does not refund money already paid, delete your profile or history, cancel your other subscriptions (each is cancelled separately), or remove an approved payout already in processing.

Cancelling ends your price lock permanently, and a later repurchase is at then-current pricing.

When You Can Get a Refund

Except where applicable law requires otherwise, purchases are final β€” none of this removes a mandatory consumer right you hold where you live. For the complete rule, see the Refund Policy.

Before checkout opens. FPT takes no public payment before launch, so until checkout opens there is no charge to refund and nothing is being held for you. See Launch Timing.

Discretionary. FPT may, in its sole discretion, consider a request made before any simulated trade has been placed on the purchased evaluation. It is a discretion, not an entitlement, and approval is not guaranteed; what is promised is a decision and a reason. There is no discretionary refund after that trade or an account-rule violation, and fraud, abuse or improper chargeback misuse may disqualify a customer. Having signed in to your dashboard is never a reason to refuse or reduce a refund.

To ask, email support from the address on your FPT account with your account size, the approximate purchase date, and confirmation that you have placed no simulated trade on that evaluation. If approved, the refund returns to the original payment method, the evaluation account closes, the price lock ends, and the purchase no longer counts among the founding hundred.

Failed Payments

At purchase, a declined payment means nothing happened: no purchase recorded, nothing charged, no price locked. Retry from the checkout. If a charge appears on your statement but no purchase in your dashboard, email support rather than buying again.

At renewal, a failed charge puts the subscription at risk of lapsing, and fixing it fast is what protects your price lock. FPT will attempt to notify you by email. The exact retry schedule and any grace period before a subscription lapses have not been published, and will be before launch.

A failed payment is not a rules violation: it does not breach a trading account, remove earned progress, delete your account or history, or affect an approved payout already in processing.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

You keep your lawful right to dispute a payment, and nothing in FPT's terms limits it. Contact FPT first: most disputes are an unrecognised statement line, resolved in one email.

A dispute is improper when it misrepresents the facts: disputing a charge you knowingly authorised because you no longer want the product, claiming non-delivery when the evaluation account was created and made available, disputing after simulated trades have been placed, disputing instead of using the refund route above, or using a dispute to contest a payout decision.

Where a dispute is fraudulent, abusive or otherwise improper, FPT may disqualify the discretionary refund route, end the price lock, review or restrict the account under Prohibited Trading Conduct, close the account, and recover amounts properly owed through lawful means. A good-faith dispute is never penalised, but an open dispute freezes the discretionary refund route, so tell FPT if you have opened one.
