The profit target is the amount of simulated net profit an FPT Scale evaluation must produce before it can pass. It is $1,250 on the $25k account, $3,000 on the $50k and $6,000 on the $100k.
Reaching the target is necessary but not sufficient. An evaluation passes when the target is reached and the other objectives — five profitable days and 40% consistency — are satisfied at the same moment, with the maximum-loss floor never having been breached.
Targets by Account Size
| Account | Starting balance | Profit target | Balance at target | Target as % of account |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $25k Scale | $25,000 | $1,250 | $26,250 | 5% |
| $50k Scale | $50,000 | $3,000 | $53,000 | 6% |
| $100k Scale | $100,000 | $6,000 | $103,000 | 6% |
The target is measured net, against the account's starting balance. It is not a gross figure and it is not a per-day figure.
There Is No Time Limit
FPT Scale evaluations do not expire. There is no minimum trading day count beyond the five profitable days, no maximum number of calendar days, and no penalty for a slow evaluation.
That matters more in prediction markets than it does in a market that trades continuously. Event markets arrive on their own schedule — an election, an earnings print, a policy decision, a scheduled data release. A trader who waits three weeks for a market worth trading is not disadvantaged by the clock.
If you hold a monthly Founder plan, the subscription continues to bill while the evaluation runs. That is a billing matter, not a rule deadline. See Monthly Billing.
What Must Be True at the Same Time
An evaluation passes on the day all four of these are true together:
- Net profit is at or above the account's profit target.
- Five profitable days have been recorded, each with net profit at or above the account's qualifying amount — $100 on the $25k, $150 on the $50k, $200 on the $100k. See The Five Profitable Days Requirement.
- No single trading day accounts for more than 40% of the counted profit. See The 40% Consistency Rule.
- The maximum-loss floor has never been reached. See Maximum Loss.
If the target is reached but consistency or profitable days are not yet satisfied, nothing bad happens. The evaluation is simply not finished, and trading continues.
Worked Example — $50k Scale
A trader on the $50k account records these days:
| Day | Net result | Running profit | Profitable day? |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | +$900 | $900 | Yes ($150 minimum met) |
| 2 | -$400 | $500 | No |
| 3 | +$1,100 | $1,600 | Yes |
| 4 | +$180 | $1,780 | Yes |
| 5 | +$60 | $1,840 | No (below $150) |
| 6 | +$700 | $2,540 | Yes |
| 7 | +$620 | $3,160 | Yes |
At the end of day 7 the account has $3,160 of net profit, above the $3,000 target, and five profitable days: days 1, 3, 4, 6 and 7. Day 5 produced profit but only $60, which is below the $150 qualifying amount, so it does not count toward the five.
Consistency is then checked. The largest single day is day 3 at $1,100. Against $3,160 of counted profit, that is about 34.8% — under the 40% ceiling. The evaluation is complete.
Had day 3 instead produced $1,500, that day would represent about 47% of a $3,560 total, and the consistency objective would not yet be met. The trader would continue trading to grow the denominator, and the same $1,500 day would fall below 40% once total counted profit reached $3,750.
Overshooting the Target
There is no penalty for finishing above the target, and no requirement to stop exactly at it. Profit above the target does not carry into the funded account as a payable balance — the funded account starts fresh under the rules in Funded Account Rules.
In practice, deliberately trading past the target is sometimes useful for exactly the reason shown above: a larger total profit lowers the percentage that any single day represents, which can bring an otherwise oversized day back inside the 40% ceiling.
After You Pass
Once the objectives are met, the account moves to review and then to funded activation. Identity verification may be required before a funded account is activated. The sequence is described in What Happens After You Pass.
