A payout cap is the most a single approved payout can pay you at your account's current scaling milestone. Every funded FPT Scale account has one, and it steps up on each approved payout.
Caps are net to you. A $1,000 cap means you can receive up to $1,000. The 90/10 profit split is handled internally by FPT before the cap figure is published, so the cap is not a gross number that then gets reduced.
The Three Ladders
The cap on a row is the cap that applies to the payout at that milestone.
$25k FPT Scale
| Milestone | Payout cap | Max open size after |
|---|---|---|
| Funded start | No payout yet | $500 |
| 1st approved payout | $500 | $750 |
| 2nd approved payout | $750 | $1,000 |
| 3rd approved payout | $1,000 | $1,250 |
| 4th and later | $1,500 | $1,500 |
$50k FPT Scale
| Milestone | Payout cap | Max open size after |
|---|---|---|
| Funded start | No payout yet | $1,000 |
| 1st approved payout | $1,000 | $1,500 |
| 2nd approved payout | $1,500 | $2,000 |
| 3rd approved payout | $2,000 | $2,500 |
| 4th and later | $2,500 | $2,500 |
$100k FPT Scale
| Milestone | Payout cap | Max open size after |
|---|---|---|
| Funded start | No payout yet | $1,500 |
| 1st approved payout | $1,500 | $2,000 |
| 2nd approved payout | $2,000 | $2,500 |
| 3rd approved payout | $2,500 | $3,000 |
| 4th and later | $3,500 | $3,500 |
The "4th and later" row is the terminal maximum. Caps stop scaling there and stay at that level for every subsequent approved payout. The same ladders, read from the scaling side, are in Scaling Tables by Account Size.
Only Approved Payouts Move the Ladder
The cap advances on an approved payout. A request that is submitted, pending review, withdrawn or denied does not advance it. Detail is in Payout Cap Scaling.
Worked Example
A $50k funded account completes its first payout cycle with $2,400 of cycle profit spread over seven trading days, the largest of which contributed $700.
- Five qualifying days at $150 or more: satisfied.
- Consistency: the largest day is $700 against a $2,400 cycle, which is about 29% — under the 40% limit.
- The account is at its first approved payout milestone, so the cap is $1,000.
- The payout is approved at $1,000 and processed within 48 hours of approval.
- The account moves to the second milestone: the next cap is $1,500 and max open size rises to $1,500.
Profit Above the Cap Is Not Deleted
The cap limits what a single approved payout pays out. It does not confiscate the rest of the account's profit. Profit above the cap stays in the account balance, subject to every other rule — the maximum loss floor, the position limits, the conduct rules — and can support later payouts as the ladder scales.
What the cap does mean is that a very large single cycle cannot be converted into a single very large payment. The ladder is designed to be climbed.
Caps Are Not the Only Ceiling
Two other limits sit above the cap:
- The $25,000 aggregate monthly payout maximum per person, across all your FPT accounts, whatever their number or size. See The Aggregate Monthly Payout Maximum.
- The five accounts and $500,000 combined allocation limits per person, which cap how much account you can hold in the first place. See Account Limits and Allocation Caps.
Whichever limit is lowest is the one that applies.
There Is No $150k Ladder
FPT Scale has three account sizes: $25,000, $50,000 and $100,000. No other size exists, and no other cap ladder exists.
