A reset restarts a breached or unwanted evaluation account from its starting balance, for a fee. The fee depends on the account size and on how you bought the account.
Funded accounts cannot be reset at launch. Reset fees apply to the evaluation stage only.
The Fees
| Account | One-time purchase reset | Monthly-plan reset |
|---|---|---|
| $25k FPT Scale | $69 | $39 |
| $50k FPT Scale | $99 | $59 |
| $100k FPT Scale | $159 | $99 |
The reset fee on a one-time purchase matches that account's Founder price, so a reset costs the same as buying the evaluation did. On a monthly plan the reset is lower, because you are already paying a recurring subscription for access.
Full pricing, including purchase prices and the Founder terms, is in Pricing and Reset Fees.
A Monthly-Plan Reset Is a One-Time Charge
This is the point most often misunderstood, so it is worth being explicit.
A monthly-plan reset is a single charge taken at the time of the reset. It is not a change to your subscription. It does not reduce your monthly price, it does not replace a monthly payment, and it does not pause the subscription. Your monthly billing continues exactly as before — see Monthly Billing.
Worked example, $50k on the monthly plan:
| Item | Amount |
|---|---|
| Monthly subscription | $79/mo |
| Reset taken mid-month | $59, once |
| Next monthly charge | $79, unchanged |
What a Reset Does
A reset returns the evaluation account to its starting state:
- The balance returns to the account's starting balance — $25,000, $50,000 or $100,000.
- The loss floor returns to its starting level, one maximum loss below the starting balance.
- Progress toward the profit target is cleared.
- Profitable days already earned are cleared.
- The consistency calculation starts again from an empty record.
The rules themselves do not change. The reset account runs on the same parameters as before — see Complete Evaluation Rules by Account Size.
When a Reset Is Available
A reset is available on an evaluation account that has breached, and on an evaluation account you simply want to start over. What a breach is, and what happens at the moment it occurs, is in What Happens When an Account Is Breached.
A reset is not available where an account was closed for a conduct breach. A rules violation is not a technical failure you can pay to undo — see Good-Faith Trading and Prohibited Conduct.
Funded Accounts
Funded resets are not available at launch. A breached funded account cannot be restarted for a fee. This is stated plainly rather than left ambiguous, because it changes how you should manage a funded account: the loss floor on a funded account is the real boundary, not a checkpoint you can buy past. See Funded Resets at Launch and Breaches During the Funded Stage.
A Reset Fee Is Not Refundable Once the Reset Is Applied
A reset takes effect immediately and gives you a fresh evaluation. Once that has happened, the service you paid for has been delivered. Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy and by Refunds.
Reset Fees and the Founder Price Lock
If you are on a Founder monthly plan, the locked price covers that subscription and its normal renewals. It does not extend to resets, additional accounts, upgrades, FPT Direct, new products, taxes or externally imposed charges. See How the Monthly Founder Price Lock Works.
