FPT intends to launch on the earlier of 100 paid Founder purchases or 30 calendar days after the first paid Founder purchase. This article covers the time-based half of that trigger.

The important detail: the clock starts at the first paid Founder purchase across the whole program — not at your purchase. Everyone shares one window.

How the Window Is Measured

  • The window is 30 calendar days, not business days. Weekends and holidays are inside it.
  • Day 0 is the date of the first paid Founder purchase made by anyone.
  • The window closes 30 calendar days later.
  • It does not restart, reset or extend because new purchases arrive.

The date the window closes appears in your prelaunch dashboard once the first paid purchase exists. Before that, there is nothing to show and FPT shows nothing rather than a guess.

A Worked Example

Suppose the first paid Founder purchase happens on 1 September.

EventDateEffect on the window
First paid Founder purchase1 SeptemberWindow opens; closes 1 October
You purchase12 SeptemberNo change — you join the existing window
Another 40 purchases arrive20 SeptemberNo change — the window is time-based
Window closes1 OctoberLaunch is due, unless extended once

If you bought on 12 September, your wait is not 30 days from 12 September. It is whatever remains of the shared window — in this example, 19 days. Buying later in the window means waiting less, not more.

Whichever Comes First

The 30-day window and the 100-paid-purchase count run at the same time, and launch is triggered by whichever arrives first.

  • Hit 100 paid Founder purchases on day 9? FPT launches on that basis, and the remaining 21 days do not matter.
  • Still below 100 on day 30? The window triggers the launch anyway. Reaching 100 is not a precondition for your evaluation being activated.

See Launching at 100 Paid Founder Purchases for how the count is kept.

What "Intends to Launch" Means

FPT states an intention rather than an unconditional guarantee of a specific calendar date, because the exact date depends on which trigger arrives first and on the single extension described below. What is not conditional is the consequence of missing the outer deadline: a full refund.

There is no five-day activation allowance and no comparable grace period bolted onto the end. Purchased evaluations become tradeable on the announced launch date, subject only to ordinary technical availability — unplanned outages, maintenance and similar interruptions, which FPT works to resolve promptly.

The One Extension

FPT may extend the launch window once, by up to 30 additional calendar days, where reasonably necessary. No second extension is permitted.

That gives an absolute outer bound of the 30-day target window plus up to 30 more days, measured from the first paid Founder purchase. An extension is notified by email and shown in the prelaunch dashboard — it is never applied silently. See The One-Time 30-Day Extension.

What Happens at the End of the Final Window

One of two things.

FPT launches. Your evaluation is activated on the announced date and becomes tradeable under the published rules. See When Your Evaluation Becomes Tradeable.

FPT does not launch. If FPT cancels the launch, or does not activate purchased evaluation accounts by the end of the final extended window, affected customers receive a full refund to the original payment method. That refund is mandatory, not discretionary, and does not depend on you requesting it. See What Happens If FPT Does Not Launch.
