If FPT cancels the launch, or does not activate purchased evaluation accounts by the end of the final extended window, affected customers receive a full refund to the original payment method.
That refund is mandatory. It is not discretionary, it does not depend on you asking for it, and it is not reduced or refused because you had access to the prelaunch dashboard in the meantime.
The Two Situations That Trigger It
1. FPT cancels the launch. FPT announces that the launch will not happen.
2. The final deadline passes without activation. Purchased evaluation accounts are not tradeable by the end of the final extended window.
Either one triggers the same outcome: a full refund to the card or payment method you originally paid with.
What "Final Extended Window" Means
| Stage | Length | Measured from |
|---|---|---|
| Target window | 30 calendar days | The first paid Founder purchase |
| Permitted extension | Up to 30 additional calendar days, used at most once | The end of the target window |
| Final deadline | The end of whichever of the above applies | — |
If FPT never uses the extension, the final deadline is the end of the 30-day target window. If FPT uses it, the final deadline is the end of the extended window. There is no second extension, so the deadline cannot keep moving. See The 30-Day Launch Target and The One-Time 30-Day Extension.
What "Full Refund" Means
The amount you paid, returned to the original payment method.
- One-time purchases. The full Founder price you were charged.
- Monthly plans. The amounts charged for evaluation access that was never activated. Because a monthly plan does not auto-renew before launch, this is normally the single first payment you made at checkout.
FPT does not deduct a fee for prelaunch dashboard access, and does not treat the limited prelaunch dashboard as delivery of the full evaluation service. The evaluation service is delivered at activation. If activation never happens, the service was not delivered.
You Do Not Have to Request It
This refund is owed automatically to affected customers. You are not required to file a form, prove anything or negotiate.
FPT will contact the email address on your FPT account with the refund notice. Refunds return to the original payment method, so keep that method open where you can. If your card has since been closed or replaced, email billing@fundedpredictiontrader.com and say so.
How This Differs From a Discretionary Refund
These are two separate routes, and it is worth not confusing them.
| Non-launch refund | Discretionary refund before trading | |
|---|---|---|
| Trigger | FPT cancels or misses the final deadline | You ask, before any simulated trade is placed |
| Mandatory? | Yes | No — sole discretion, approval not guaranteed |
| Request needed? | No | Yes |
| Amount | Full refund to the original payment method | Considered case by case |
The discretionary route is described in Founder Refund Requests Before Trading. It exists in parallel and does not affect the mandatory refund above.
Your Right to Dispute Is Not Restricted
Nothing in FPT's terms prohibits a lawful payment dispute. FPT does distinguish a legitimate dispute from fraudulent or improper chargeback misuse, and reserves its position on the latter — see Chargebacks and Payment Disputes.
In a non-launch scenario, contacting FPT first is usually faster than a dispute, because the refund is already owed.
What Happens to Your Account and Data
Your FPT account itself is not deleted because a launch did not happen. If you want it removed, or want to exercise a privacy right over the data held about you, the routes are in the Privacy Policy and requests go to privacy@fundedpredictiontrader.com.
Where This Is Written Down
This is not a support-desk courtesy. It is a term of the purchase:
- Clause 9 of Founder Purchase and Launch Terms, which is incorporated by reference into the Program Agreement.
- The Refund, Cancellation and Chargeback Policy.
- The FPT Scale Program Agreement.
An unversioned support answer cannot change it, and neither can a marketing page.
