This article is incorporated by reference into the FPT Scale Program Agreement and is listed in the Current FPT Scale Rules Index. It sets the binding operational terms of a Founder purchase made before FPT launches. Version 1.0, effective 2026-08-04.
A Founder purchase reserves an FPT Scale simulated evaluation account at Founder pricing before FPT launches. You are charged immediately, you get immediate access to a basic prelaunch dashboard, and your evaluation becomes tradeable when FPT launches.
FPT intends to launch on the earlier of two events: reaching 100 paid Founder purchases, or 30 calendar days after the first paid Founder purchase. FPT may extend that window once, by up to 30 additional calendar days. If FPT cancels the launch, or does not activate purchased evaluation accounts by the end of the final extended window, affected customers receive a full refund to the original payment method.
The clauses below are the operative terms.
1. Scope and Definitions
1.1 These terms apply to every FPT Scale evaluation account purchased at Founder pricing before FPT launches, whether purchased as a one-time payment or on a monthly plan.
1.2 "Founder purchase" means a completed, paid purchase of an FPT Scale evaluation account at Founder pricing using the Founder code FOUNDER.
1.3 "Paid Founder purchase" means a Founder purchase for which payment has been successfully captured and not reversed, refunded or charged back.
1.4 "Launch" means the date FPT announces on which purchased evaluation accounts become tradeable.
1.5 "Activation" means the moment a specific purchased evaluation account becomes tradeable in the FPT dashboard.
1.6 FPT Scale is a simulated trader evaluation program. Account balances, orders, positions, fills and profits inside an FPT account are simulated. FPT does not route customer orders to any exchange, does not hold customer funds and does not take trading deposits. See the Simulation and Risk Disclosure.
2. Account Creation Before Purchase
2.1 You must create an FPT account before you can complete a Founder purchase. The purchase is attached to that account and cannot be transferred to another person.
2.2 The information on the account must be accurate and must be your own. See Creating an Account Before Purchase and Accurate Account Information.
2.3 The payment method used must belong to the person who owns the FPT account. See Payment Method Ownership.
3. What a Founder Purchase Buys
3.1 A Founder purchase buys one FPT Scale evaluation account in the size selected at checkout — $25,000, $50,000 or $100,000.
3.2 The purchase includes immediate access to a basic prelaunch dashboard. Trading and unfinished dashboard features are clearly labelled "Coming soon" until launch.
3.3 The purchase locks the Founder price selected at checkout for that purchase, on the terms in clause 10 below.
3.4 A Founder purchase does not buy a funded account. A funded account is reached only by passing the evaluation under the Complete Evaluation Rules by Account Size.
3.5 A Founder purchase does not include FPT Direct, which is not purchasable and has no announced availability date.
4. Founder Pricing and Immediate Charge
4.1 The Founder price selected at checkout is charged immediately on purchase. There is no delayed charge and no authorisation-only hold that is captured later.
4.2 Founder pricing is as follows.
| Account | Regular price | Founder one-time | Founder monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| $25k FPT Scale | $169 | $69 | $59/mo |
| $50k FPT Scale | $249 | $99 | $79/mo |
| $100k FPT Scale | $399 | $159 | $129/mo |
4.3 The $50k FPT Scale monthly plan is the only size with a published regular monthly rate, $99 per month, reduced to the Founder rate of $79 per month.
4.4 Reset fees are separate from the purchase price and are not charged before launch. They are set out in Pricing and Reset Fees and Reset Fees.
4.5 Taxes and any charges imposed by a payment provider are additional and are not covered by the Founder price.
5. Prelaunch Access
5.1 From the moment payment is captured, you have access to a basic prelaunch dashboard showing your purchase, your account size and the launch status FPT has published.
5.2 The prelaunch dashboard is limited by design. Trading is not available before launch. Features that are not finished read "Coming soon" rather than presenting an unavailable capability as available.
5.3 FPT does not represent that prelaunch dashboard access constitutes delivery of the evaluation service. The evaluation service is delivered at activation.
5.4 See Prelaunch Dashboard Access.
6. Launch Trigger and Window
6.1 FPT intends to launch on the earlier of:
- the date on which FPT reaches 100 paid Founder purchases; or
- the date 30 calendar days after the first paid Founder purchase.
6.2 The 30-calendar-day window runs from the first paid Founder purchase across the whole program, not from your own purchase date. A customer who purchases on day 20 shares the same window as a customer who purchased on day 1.
6.3 The homepage phrase "Launching at 100 Waitlists" is marketing copy describing the same milestone. The contractual trigger stated in clause 6.1 is 100 paid Founder purchases. Where the two differ in wording, clause 6.1 controls. See Launching at 100 Paid Founder Purchases.
6.4 A purchase that is refunded or charged back does not count toward the 100.
7. The One-Time Extension
7.1 FPT may extend the launch window once, by up to 30 additional calendar days, where reasonably necessary.
7.2 No second extension is permitted under these terms.
7.3 An extension is notified by email to the address on the FPT account and is shown in the prelaunch dashboard.
7.4 The absolute outer bound is therefore the 30-day target window plus the single permitted extension of up to 30 days, measured from the first paid Founder purchase.
7.5 See The One-Time 30-Day Extension.
8. Activation
8.1 Purchased evaluation accounts become tradeable on the announced launch date.
8.2 There is no five-day activation allowance and no comparable grace period. Activation is subject only to ordinary technical availability — that is, to unplanned outages, maintenance and similar interruptions, which FPT works to resolve promptly.
8.3 From activation, the evaluation is governed by the Complete Evaluation Rules by Account Size, Good-Faith Trading and Prohibited Conduct and Max Open Size and Market-Volume Limits.
8.4 See When Your Evaluation Becomes Tradeable.
9. Non-Launch and Mandatory Refund
9.1 If FPT cancels the launch, or does not activate purchased evaluation accounts by the end of the final extended window, affected customers will receive a full refund to the original payment method.
9.2 This refund is mandatory. It is not discretionary, it does not depend on a request, and it is not reduced because the customer used the prelaunch dashboard.
9.3 FPT will not treat the limited prelaunch dashboard as delivery of the full evaluation service for the purpose of withholding this refund.
9.4 Where a monthly plan was purchased, the mandatory refund covers amounts charged for evaluation access that was never activated.
9.5 See What Happens If FPT Does Not Launch and the Refund, Cancellation and Chargeback Policy.
10. Monthly Founder Plan Billing and Price Lock
10.1 On a monthly Founder plan, the first monthly payment is charged immediately. It prepays the first month of evaluation access, and that month begins when the evaluation is activated — not on the purchase date.
10.2 A monthly plan does not auto-renew before launch. No second charge is taken while the evaluation is not tradeable.
10.3 The second charge occurs 30 days after evaluation activation, and monthly thereafter until the subscription is cancelled.
10.4 The Founder monthly price is locked for the life of that specific, uninterrupted subscription.
10.5 The price lock ends if that subscription is cancelled, refunded, charged back, lapses through a failed payment, or is terminated for a rules or account violation. A later repurchase is at then-current pricing.
10.6 The lock applies only to that account subscription and its normal renewals. It does not automatically extend to additional accounts, resets, upgrades, FPT Direct, new products, taxes, processor-imposed charges or other externally imposed fees.
10.7 See How the Monthly Founder Price Lock Works and When Monthly Renewal Begins.
11. Cancellation and Discretionary Refunds
11.1 Except where applicable law requires otherwise, purchases are final.
11.2 FPT may, in its sole discretion, consider a refund request made before any simulated trade has been placed on the purchased evaluation. Approval is not guaranteed.
11.3 No discretionary refund is available after a simulated trade has been placed on the evaluation.
11.4 No discretionary refund is available after an account-rule violation.
11.5 Fraud, abuse or improper chargeback misuse may disqualify a customer from a discretionary refund.
11.6 Clause 11 does not limit the mandatory refund in clause 9, and does not restrict any lawful payment dispute.
11.7 A monthly subscription may be cancelled at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not by itself create a refund of amounts already charged. See Canceling a Monthly Subscription.
12. Account Limits
12.1 A person may hold a maximum of five active FPT accounts, counting evaluation and funded accounts together.
12.2 A person's maximum combined allocation is $500,000.
12.3 Founder purchases count toward both limits. See Account Limits and Allocation Caps and One FPT Profile Per Person.
13. Precedence, Versioning and Changes
13.1 The checkout and order summary control transaction-specific fields — product, account size, price, billing cadence and the document versions accepted.
13.2 The FPT Scale Program Agreement controls the program relationship. This article controls the Founder purchase and launch parameters delegated to it.
13.3 Each purchase records the version of this article in force at the time of purchase. Founder launch terms are the terms of a specific purchase and are fixed for that purchase at the moment it is made.
13.4 An unversioned support answer never changes a customer's purchased terms.
13.5 A material change to this article bumps its version and states whether it applies only to new purchases or also to existing ones.
