The payment method you use to buy an FPT account must belong to you — the person named on the FPT profile. And when money goes the other way, a payout is made to the verified account holder and to nobody else.
One person, one profile, one payment identity. That is the whole rule, and almost every awkward billing case comes from bending it.
The Rule in Both Directions
| Direction | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Money in | The card, account or method used at checkout is one you own and are authorised to use |
| Money out | A payout is released to the verified account holder, matching the profile |
| Names | The name on the payment method corresponds to the name on the FPT profile |
Why It Is Not Just Bureaucracy
A payment you did not authorise is fraud, and it lands on you. If someone else's method is used on your profile, the eventual dispute is filed against your account. Reversals, holds and closures follow the profile, not the cardholder.
Payment identity is how FPT knows the account holder is real. Ownership evidence is one of the categories used at verification. When the paying name and the profile name are different people, verification cannot resolve, and the payout stops there.
It keeps per-person limits meaningful. Five active accounts, $500,000 combined allocation and a $25,000 aggregate monthly payout maximum are per-person numbers. A shared payment identity across profiles is one of the clearest signals that they are not separate people — see One FPT Profile Per Person.
Common Situations
"My partner paid for my account." Do not do it this way. Have the funds moved to you first, then pay with a method in your own name. A method in someone else's name on your profile creates a mismatch that surfaces at your first payout, when it is most expensive.
"I want to buy an account as a gift." FPT does not sell an account you can hand to someone else. Every account belongs to a named individual who accepted the terms, and the person trading it is the person who must have bought it. Point the recipient at the site and let them create their own profile — remember they must create an FPT account before purchasing.
"My business card pays for everything I do." A business card in a company name is a payment-identity mismatch even when the company is yours. Read Trading Through a Company or LLC and ask support before you check out, not after.
"My card was reissued with a new number." Routine. Update the method on your profile. If a renewal has already failed, see Failed Payments.
Monthly Plans
A monthly Founder plan renews against the method on file. Two consequences follow.
The method has to stay valid and stay yours. If it expires, is cancelled or is replaced, update it before the next renewal date. The Founder monthly price is locked only for the life of that specific, uninterrupted subscription — a plan that lapses through failed payment loses the lock, and a later repurchase is at then-current pricing.
Your second charge occurs 30 days after your evaluation is activated, then monthly until you cancel. There is no auto-renewal before launch. Cancellation is covered in Subscription Cancellation.
Disputes Are Not Prohibited — Abuse of Them Is
You have every right to raise a lawful dispute with your payment provider. FPT does not tell you otherwise and does not treat a genuine dispute as misconduct.
What is a problem is an improper chargeback: disputing a charge you authorised, on an account you used, to get a refund the Refund, Cancellation and Chargeback Policy does not give you. Fraud, abuse or improper chargeback misuse may disqualify you from a discretionary refund and may result in the account being closed. The distinction is drawn carefully in Chargebacks and Payment Disputes.
If something has gone wrong with a charge, email billing@fundedpredictiontrader.com first. Almost every case FPT can fix directly is faster fixed directly.
No Provider Is Named
FPT does not name a payment processor, bank, payout provider or verification vendor anywhere in its documents, because none has been selected. When those choices are made, the affected articles are updated and versioned. Anything that claims to be an FPT payment partner today is not one — treat it as a phishing attempt and read Account Security.
What FPT May Do on a Mismatch
Where FPT reasonably believes a payment method does not belong to the account holder, FPT may require verification before going further, restrict the account while it reviews, withhold a pending payout, decline a discretionary refund, or close the account. The process and your route to respond are in Account Reviews and Appeals and Support.
