Identity verification is most likely to be required at two points in the FPT Scale journey: when a funded account is activated after you pass the evaluation, and before a payout is released.

Neither is a punishment and neither is a surprise. A funded account is where FPT starts paying real money, so it is the point at which FPT has to be able to say who it is paying.

The Two Trigger Points

PointWhy verification sits there
Funded activation, after you pass the evaluationThe account is about to become one that can generate a real payment. FPT confirms the account holder before that begins.
Before a payout is releasedReal money is leaving FPT. It must go to the verified account holder, and to nobody else.

FPT may also verify at other times where a legal, sanctions, payment, fraud-prevention or security reason applies. The general rules are in Identity Verification.

Where Verification Sits in the Payout Sequence

A payout runs in stages, and verification is one of them.

  1. You complete a payout cycle — five qualifying payout days, each meeting your account's minimum, inside the 40% cycle consistency rule.
  2. You submit the payout request.
  3. FPT reviews the cycle against the rules.
  4. Identity verification is completed, if it has not been completed already.
  5. FPT approves or declines the payout.
  6. An approved payout is processed within 48 hours of approval.

The 48 hours run from approval, not from submission. Review is a separate step and FPT does not put a time promise on it. Verification sits ahead of approval, which is exactly why leaving it to the last moment costs you days.

The qualifying-day minimums that govern step 1 are $100 on the $25k account, $150 on the $50k and $200 on the $100k. Full payout mechanics are in Payout Rules and Review.

Start It Early

If you know you are approaching your first payout, complete verification while the cycle is still running rather than after you submit. Nothing about the payout is slowed by verifying early, and everything about it can be slowed by verifying late.

The single most common cause of a payout that "sits there" is not a rules problem at all. It is a name on a document that does not match the name on the profile — a middle name that was never entered, a maiden name, a shortened first name. Fix that before you need it. See Accurate Account Information.

Verification Is Not the Payout Review

These get confused, so keep them separate in your head.

Verification asks: are you who your profile says you are, and can FPT lawfully pay you?

Payout review asks: does this cycle satisfy the rules — five qualifying days at or above your account's minimum, the 40% cycle consistency rule, the position limits, the conduct rules, and your cap at the current scaling milestone?

Passing one does not settle the other. Reasons a payout can need extra review are listed in Why a Payout May Require Review.

Who the Payout Goes To

A payout is made to the verified account holder. It is not made to a third party, not to someone else's payment method, and not to a name that does not correspond to the profile.

If a company or LLC is involved in your tax arrangements, that does not change who FPT is paying — read Trading Through a Company or LLC before you submit a payout, not after.

The payout methods available at launch are covered in Payout Methods. No payout provider is named until one has been selected.

What You Can Do Now

  1. Check that the legal name on your profile matches your identity document exactly.
  2. Check that your date of birth and country of residence are correct.
  3. Make sure the email on your profile is one you actually read — verification requests go there.
  4. Confirm the payment method used at checkout belongs to you. See Payment-Method Ownership.
  5. Have a current, unexpired identity document available before your first payout cycle closes.

If Verification Cannot Be Completed

Where verification is required and is not completed, FPT may hold the payout, restrict the account, or close it. Where the information provided turns out to be false, that is a breach — and a breach removes the discretionary refund route entirely under the Refund, Cancellation and Chargeback Policy.

A failed check is far more often a document problem than a verdict. FPT will tell you what did not pass and let you resubmit. If you disagree with an outcome, the route is Payout Denial and Appeal and Appeals and Support.

A Note on Timing Language

Some FPT surfaces summarise payout speed in a short phrase. The precise statement, and the one that governs, is that an approved payout is processed within 48 hours of approval. Review and verification happen before approval and carry no stated time promise.
