When Monthly Renewal Begins

A Founder monthly plan does not auto-renew before launch — the first payment prepays the month that starts at activation, and the second charge lands 30 days later.

A Founder monthly plan does not auto-renew before launch. The first monthly payment is charged at checkout and prepays your first month of evaluation access — and that month begins when your evaluation is activated, not when you bought it.

Your second charge occurs 30 days after evaluation activation, and monthly after that until you cancel.

Why the Clock Starts at Activation

You cannot trade before launch. Charging you for months in which the evaluation is not tradeable would be charging for something you cannot use, so FPT does not do it. However long the prelaunch period runs — the 30-day target window, or that window plus the single permitted extension — exactly one charge is taken before launch.

A Worked Example

You buy a $50k FPT Scale evaluation on the Founder monthly plan at $79 per month on 5 September.

DateEventCharge
5 SeptemberPurchase$79
5–30 SeptemberPrelaunch dashboard access, no tradingNone
1 OctoberEvaluation activated at launchNone
31 OctoberSecond charge, 30 days after activation$79
30 NovemberThird charge$79

Note that the September wait cost nothing beyond the initial payment, and that the billing date is anchored to 1 October — the activation date — not to 5 September.

If FPT had used its single 30-day extension and activated on 20 October instead, your second charge would be 30 days after 20 October. The wait is still free. See The One-Time 30-Day Extension.

The Monthly Rates

AccountFounder monthly rate
$25k FPT Scale$59/mo
$50k FPT Scale$79/mo
$100k FPT Scale$129/mo

Each renewal is taken at your locked Founder rate for as long as that subscription runs uninterrupted. See How the Monthly Founder Price Lock Works.

Taxes and any charges imposed by a payment provider are additional and are not covered by the locked rate.

Renewal Continues Through the Funded Stage

If you pass the evaluation and reach a funded account, the subscription does not stop by itself. It renews on the same schedule until you cancel it. Passing is a milestone in the program, not an end to the billing relationship — see What Happens After You Pass.

Resets Do Not Move the Billing Date

A reset on a monthly plan is a separate one-time charge. It does not add a month, does not shift your renewal date and does not lower your subscription price. See Reset Fees.

If a Renewal Fails

A failed renewal does not silently continue. Update the payment method promptly — a subscription that lapses through a failed payment loses its Founder price lock, and a later repurchase is at then-current pricing. The recovery steps are in Failed Payments and Payment Declined or Failed.

The payment method must belong to you — see Payment Method Ownership.

Stopping Renewals

Cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not by itself refund amounts already charged, and it ends the Founder price lock. See Canceling a Monthly Subscription and Subscription Cancellation.

Where to Check Your Next Charge

Your billing details are shown in your FPT dashboard, including your plan, your rate and your next renewal date once activation has happened. Before activation there is no renewal date to show, because none exists yet.
