Most sign-in failures at FPT are one of four things: the email address is not the one the account was created with, the password reset email has not arrived, the browser is holding a stale session, or a second profile was created by accident.
Work through the checks below in order before contacting support — steps 1 to 4 resolve the majority of cases without a ticket.
Step-by-Step Checks
- Confirm the exact email address. Open your purchase confirmation or your welcome email and copy the address it was sent to. Sign in with that, character for character. Aliases, plus-addresses and a different provider are all separate accounts.
- Reset your password rather than guessing. Use the "forgot password" link on the sign-in screen, then check spam, promotions and filtered folders for the reset email. Reset links expire — always use the newest one.
- Clear the stale session. Sign out fully, close every FPT tab, then open the site in a private or incognito window and sign in there. If private mode works and your normal window does not, clear the site's cached data and cookies.
- Disable interfering extensions. Password managers that autofill an old entry, ad blockers and privacy extensions are common causes. Test with extensions off before assuming the account is at fault.
- Try a second device and a second network. A corporate, school or public network sometimes blocks what the sign-in page needs to load.
- Check your keyboard state. Caps lock, an active non-English layout and an autocorrected first character are unglamorous but frequent causes.
"My Password Reset Email Never Arrived"
Reset emails follow the same delivery path as every other FPT message. Work through Not Receiving FPT Emails — add the FPT sending domain to your safe-sender list, check filters and check any forwarding rules — then request the reset again.
If you no longer control the mailbox the account was created with, do not create a new account to get around it. Contact support from the closest address you do control, explain the situation and include your order ID. Changing the email on an account is an identity-sensitive action; see Changing Your Email or Password.
"I Think I Have Two Accounts"
FPT allows one FPT profile per person. If you created a second profile by accident — for example by signing up with a second email address at checkout — say so plainly to support and ask for them to be reconciled. Doing this proactively is straightforward. Operating two profiles is not: duplicate profiles are treated as prohibited conduct. See One FPT Profile per Person and Account Sharing and Duplicate Profiles.
Note that one profile may hold multiple accounts. The limits are 5 active accounts per person across evaluation and funded, and $500,000 maximum combined allocation — see Account Limits and Allocation Caps.
"My Account Says It Is Under Review or Restricted"
Access can be limited while an account is reviewed. That is a compliance state rather than a technical fault, and the route through it is the review and appeal process, not a password reset. See Account Reviews and Appeals and Support.
Sign-In Security
- FPT will never email or message you asking for your password. No FPT agent needs it, ever.
- Check the address bar before entering credentials. Sign in only on the FPT domain you reached yourself, not through a link in an unexpected message.
- Use a unique password you do not reuse anywhere else, and enable every security option FPT offers on your account.
- If you believe someone else has accessed your account, change your password immediately and email support the same day. See Account Security.
Sharing your login with another person is prohibited, including with a coach, a mentor or a family member. Your account must be traded by you. See Good-Faith Trading and Prohibited Conduct.
Before Launch
FPT has not launched yet, so signing in successfully takes you to a limited prelaunch dashboard where trading and unfinished features read "Coming soon". If you can sign in but see very little, nothing is wrong with your access — see Prelaunch Dashboard Issues.
