Your email address and password are changed from your FPT account settings. A password change takes effect immediately. An email change is treated as identity-sensitive, because the address on your account is what controls password resets, launch notices and payout-related messages.
Keep both current. Your account information must be accurate — see Accurate Account Information.
Changing Your Password
- Sign in and open your account settings.
- Enter your current password, then the new one.
- Choose a password you use nowhere else. Length beats complexity — a long passphrase is stronger than a short string of symbols.
- Save, then sign out of every device and sign back in on the one you use.
- Update your password manager so autofill does not keep serving the old entry.
If you cannot sign in to reach settings, use the "forgot password" link on the sign-in screen instead, and follow Login and Account-Access Issues.
Change your password immediately, and email support the same day, if you reused it on a service that suffered a breach, you signed in on a shared or public computer, or you see activity you do not recognise. See Account Security.
Changing Your Email Address
- Sign in and open your account settings.
- Enter the new address carefully, then read it back character by character. A typo here can lock you out of your own account.
- Complete whatever confirmation step is presented. Until the new address is confirmed, the old one remains the address of record.
- Check that a message actually arrives at the new address. If nothing does, work through Not Receiving FPT Emails before assuming the change succeeded.
- Keep the old mailbox reachable for a short period afterwards where you can, in case a message was already in flight.
Use a personal address you fully control. Work and school addresses can be revoked by an employer or institution without warning, and disposable or temporary addresses are unsuitable for an account that will eventually carry payout correspondence.
If You Have Lost Access to the Old Mailbox
Do not create a second FPT account. FPT allows one FPT profile per person, and operating duplicate profiles is prohibited conduct rather than a workaround — see One FPT Profile per Person.
Instead, email support from the closest address you do control and explain the situation. Include your order ID and the old account email. Because the request moves control of an account, FPT verifies it before acting, and may ask you for information only the account owner would reasonably hold. Expect that, and expect it to take longer than a routine question.
FPT will not tell you in advance exactly what will be asked. A published checklist would be a checklist for anyone attempting to take over someone else's account.
Email Changes and Verification
Identity verification is required before a funded account is activated and before a payout is made — see Identity Verification and Verification Before Funded Activation or Payout. The name and details on your FPT account should match the identity you will verify with, and your payment method must belong to you — see Payment Method Ownership.
An email change close to a payout request is a normal thing to do and also a common pattern in account-takeover attempts, so it may attract an additional check. Changing details well ahead of a payout, rather than during one, avoids the delay entirely.
What Changing an Email Does Not Change
- It does not move your purchase to a different FPT account. Your purchase, your account size and your locked Founder price stay attached to the same profile.
- It does not alter your evaluation progress, your funded status or your scaling position.
- It does not change your billing arrangement or your Founder price lock. The lock is tied to the specific, uninterrupted subscription, not to the address on the account — see How the Monthly Founder Price Lock Works.
- It does not reset the rule versions your purchase is bound to.
Before Launch
Both changes work in the prelaunch dashboard. If a settings control reads "Coming soon", that feature is not built yet — email support and the change can be handled directly. See Prelaunch Dashboard Issues.
Still Need Help?
Email support@fundedpredictiontrader.com. Include your FPT account email as currently registered, the new address if you are requesting a change, your order ID, the exact error or wording you saw, what you expected instead, and your device and browser. Never include your password — support does not need it and will never ask for it.
